UK Three Peaks Challenge
Yorks 3 Peaks

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a circular route that starts and finishes at Horton-In-Ribblesdale, and is ideal training for a national 3 Peaks event. For more details, please visit this link...

The three peaks which are climbed are:

1. Pen-Y-Ghent (691 metres)

2. Whernside (728 metres)

3. Ingleborough (723 metres)

The total climb is over 5,000 feet, and a distance of some 25 miles is walked. Most people aim to complete the challenge within a 12 hour period. Much of the route uses the Pennine Way bridleway, but some sections are on rough or boggy, undefined paths, and good map reading and navigation skills are required.
