UK Three Peaks Challenge The Peaks
BEN NEVIS :: 1344 metres

Most 3 Peaks teams will start by climbing Ben Nevis first. At 1344 metres, this is the highest peak, and will will start climbing from near sea level. You may start from Achintee House, Glen Nevis Youth Hostel, or from the Glen Nevis Visitor Centre, which offers the best parking and toilet facilities.
The 'Tourist Path' will take you to the summit, and you should aim to complete the return journey in around 5 hours. For more details about climbing Ben Nevis, click here.
SCAFELL PIKE :: 978 metres
Situated in the Lake District National Park, you can start your climb from either Seathwaite or Wasdale Head. Neither location has much in the way of facilities - so go prepared. The return climb should take you 5 or 4 hours respectively. Very good navigational skills are required here if you climb Scafell Pike in the dark or misty conditions. SNOWDON :: 1085 metres
Snowdon offers you the chance to gain some height in your vehicle before starting to climb. From Pen-y-Pass Youth Hostel, climb the Pyg Track to reach the station and restaurant at the summit.
